RESPONSIBLE WORLD TOURISM
Founded in 1997, PBTMS World Tours is concerned about the environment, its future and the damage tourists, and in particular, mass tourism can have on attractions and cultures.
LOW IMPACT TOURISM
We don't assume the right to participate in cultures. PBTMS adventure tours are not about trampling through isolated hilltribe villages, eating meals in the homes of local families, or riding with the locals on public transport. Preferring to be an observer, to look in from a window, applies minimal disturbance and maximum reward.
SMALL GROUP COMFORT AND INTIMACY
PBTMS adventure tours are designed to have minimum impact on not only cultures but resources and attractions. We never load a coach with 30-40 passengers and roll all over the countryside. This type of mass tourism is offensive and designed purely for high profit.
INTERNATIONAL BEHAVIOUR
PBTMS encourages responsible and educated travellers. We assist education by providing pre-tour information on the destination and an introduction to expected behaviour. As some of our tours operate in countries dedicated to the Islamic way of life - we do not accept clients unable to display sensitivity and tolerance as a visitor.
HIGH VALUE PRODUCT
PBTMS do not offer lost-cost tours with heaps of leisure time and optional add-ons, preferring to advertise the whole cost with return airfares and departure tax ex Australia included rather than an attention grabbing 'land only' cost.
SAFETY
PBTMS does not operate tours in countries where the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs has issued a warning advising postponing visitation.
QUALITY
PBTMS does not compete in discounting, instead working to obtain the best value and the highest quality for the price.
PERSONAL ATTENTION
PBTMS boasts a friendly country-style personalised service, where every client has a name rather than a computerised booking number, where resources are directed to detail, even after departure. We track our clients travel while outside Australia closing each file after client returns home.
BOOKING
All bookings must be accompanied by a completed PBTMS booking form and a non-refundable deposit of $480 per person. Cancellation charges will apply to every booking.
Comprehensive travel insurance is compulsory for all bookings.
RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
PBTMS is committed to on-going education, research and improvement. Tour itineraries are continually monitored and often altered to include better attractions or by-pass areas of little interest / domestic unrest. Hotels are always substituted with newer properties where available.
